“Immigration Reform” (Bill) This Year…

(updated/edited: like the article says, he says a bill will be out this year, but will be taken up next year, and his exact words, (thanks Daniel:) are that he’s putting the vote off till next year in order “to sequence these big initiatives in a way where they don’t all just crash at the same time.” (link for video))

“Immigration Reform” is another euphemism for “permanent Democrat majority/power consolidation,” but it looks like El Presidente Boosh Ooobama believes he’s got the political capital to spend on it (link):

Obama: Immigration bill this year

Carol E. Lee Carol E. Lee – Mon Aug 10, 3:04 pm ET
GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Under fire from immigration reform supporters who say he’s not moving fast enough, President Barack Obama said Monday he expects to have a draft immigration bill in Congress by year’s end – but that lawmakers wouldn’t begin to seriously debate the issue until next year.

He acknowledged that the fight for comprehensive reform would be difficult, saying, “Am I going to be able to snap my fingers and get this done? No. . . . There are going to be demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form of pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable.”

If it makes me a demagogue, I shall cast my lot and say that giving amnesty to those who are here is a problem because of the vast amount of folks like this (link):

Georgetown man charged with molesting 7-year-old
By TERRI SANGINITI • The News Journal • August 13, 2009

A 21-year-old Georgetown man was arrested Wednesday for repeatedly having sex with a 7-year-old boy he was babysitting, police said today.

Moises A. Acurio-Suarez was charged with four counts of first-degree rape, one count each of second-degree rape, felony endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment, Georgetown police Lt. Lawrence Grose said.

Police were contacted by Nanticoke Hospital about a boy there who was being examined for a possible sexual assault, he said.

The examination revealed injuries to the victim consistent with his being sexually assaulted.

On Wednesday, the boy told his mother that he did not want Suarez to babysit him anymore because he was having sex with him, Grose said.

The mother took the boy to the hospital to be examined and personnel there notified police.

The victim was then interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center where he disclosed that on at least four occasions Suarez forced him to have intercourse, police said.

When police interviewed Suarez, he told officers that the allegations the boy made were true.

The only motive the suspect gave investigators was that he was rejected by his family at a young age, Grose said.

Suarez is being held in the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $237,000 cash bail.

…but we need the undocumented immigrants to do the child molesting that Americans just won’t do!
