Must Read

***UPDATE***: Duly noted, Sam Brownback denied that these events transpired.  But that does not change the fact that Gov Sebelius incorrectly stated the facts of a disaster response to benefit her political agenda, Kansas residents.  It also does not justify the demagoguery by Senate Majority “Leader” Harry Reid and other Democrats in what appears to be an organized effort at making hay of the Greensburg disaster, even after Sebelius had been corrected (link). If you can’t deal with those facts, crawl back to a place that offers you “facts” the way you wish them presented.  Like when the DNC drags out a retired Maj. General to continue spinning “Katrina on the Prairie” (link).  You tell me if there’s an effort afoot to use this for political gain.

This is extremely interesting.  I heard it on Quinn & Rose on XM this morning, then again on Hannity this afternoon.  Bryan Preston at HotAir reviews it here (link).  I’m not going to cut and paste it, read it there.  It’s deeply upsetting if true.

The story, in a sentence, is that Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius received marching orders from DNC Chair Howard Dean to politicize the tornado in Kansas, hence her billowing BS cloud of anti-war propaganda about the KS Guard units and equipment not being available.  They do have enough equipment, it was all a political stunt.

Tragedy pimps.

By the way, the American Red Cross is usually a decent place to donate to help out (link).  I’m planning to send a few greenbacks from my next paycheck.

Also worth noting:  If you know anyone in Kansas who wants to know if Gov Sebelius received a call from Howard Dean that morning, here’s info on Kansas’ Open Records Act (link):

7. Does the KORA cover only paper documents?
No. The KORA can cover any information that is possessed by a public agency and is in recorded form. The KORA applies to any recorded information regardless of form or characteristics.”

I’m sure the good Governor’s phone bill will be available soon.

Apparently the DNC’s lawyers sent a cease and desist order to XM radio on Friday and demanded that the hosts apologize or be sued for defamation. This pretty much means that this story is a lie.

Ok then, so what this means is there’s no evidence that the DNC or Gov Dean pressured Kathleen Sebelius to mislead the public about the state of the Kansas National Guard’s response. But she still turned the tragedy into an anti-war statement based on false info, so she’s still a TRAGEDY PIMP.
