What They Warned You About

We used to “skitch” whenever possible growing up, and were always warned that people died that way frequently. That is riding a skateboard (snowboards work sometimes too) behind a moving vehicle, holding onto the bumper. While it’s obviously a high-risk activity, this is the first I’ve heard of someone skitching and dying. (link) Anyway, I just wanted to save that link so when my kids get old enough I can adequately document it.  It’s too bad when you’re the person whose number comes up.

We called it “shagging”, and we didn’t have anything better than tennis shoes and gardening gloves. Usually the car was unaware we were there until it would get stuck.
Once, we got a school bus stuck.

    Dry patches sucked.

We lost a lot of gloves in bumpers. That was back when bumpers stuck out of the car.

    Eric -

Sorry brother – but you’ve been tagged. I tried counting up my internet friends to get 8 guys I knew and ran out of options after just 3 fingers. **sigh**

Anyway – head over to http://conservablogs.com/bluecollarmuse/2007/05/22/8-reasons-women-should-be-banned-from-blogging/ to read what you must now do …

    My apologies, my friend …
